After the Jordan Earlier, Morocco announced the availability of e-Visa for people from India, Guatemala and Azerbaijan, from January 10, 2023. Until then, these countries had to obtain a visa at the embassy.
The Moroccan e-Visa was introduced with the aim of digitizing public administration services to support the tourism sector and promote Morocco as a tourist destination.
“Following the reopening of borders, tourism recorded a strong comeback compared to 2019. Tourism revenues doubled year-on-year"concluded Mustapha Baitas.
