Namibia is on the verge of launching its new electronic visa systemfollowing allegations that its online visa system was malfunctioning. The Ministry of Interior, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHAISS) refuted these allegations, explaining that the system had not yet been launched. It would therefore now be possible to apply for an e-visa on arrival from the official platform from April 01, 2025. The visa-on-arrival process will also be launched on this date.
The new e-Visa on Arrival will be launched on the same day as the Visa on Arrival application form. Thanks to this user-friendly portal, tourists will be able to apply for visas from the comfort of their own homes, ensuring a smoother and more efficient entry procedure.
