New price cut for Cambodian electronic visa

Cambodia is reducing the price of its electronic visas from January 1, 2025, making the country more accessible to international travellers. The electronic tourist visa (e-Visa T) will be reduced from US$36 to US$30, while the electronic business visa (e-Visa E) will be lowered from US$42 to US$35.

This initiative aims to stimulate tourism and foreign investment, two important pillars of the Cambodian economy. The government has also asked the institutions concerned improve procedures for issuing electronic visas and registration".Cambodia e-Arrival".

Here is the press release issued on October 19, 2024 in Phnom Penh: "The Ministry of Public Works and Transport informs the public, economic operators as well as national and international tourists that in order to integrate a new ecosystem for the entry into e-Visa And e-Arrival in Cambodia, the Ministry has announced an update of electronic visa fees e-Visa (T) (tourist) and e-Visa (E) (business) from October 19, 2024 as follows:

  • e-Visa T 37 USD (for sightseeing tours)
  • e-Visa E 39 USD (for business)".

Entry formalities: electronic visa or visa on arrival

The electronic visa, introduced in 2006, simplifies administrative procedures for travelers. It can be obtained via the official evisa.gov.kh or the "Cambodia eVisa" mobile application. Once approved, the visa is valid for 3 months and allows a 30-day stay in Cambodia. The visa can also be obtained on arrival in Cambodia. To facilitate your trip and avoid waiting at immigration, we recommend you complete the e-Visa process online before you leave.

All nationalities eligible for the online procedure can apply for a visa on arrival in Cambodia.

Electronic visa application procedure

To obtain an electronic visa, travellers must :

  1. Fill in an online form
  2. Download the required documents (copy of passport and passport photo)
  3. Make your payment online

The visa is usually issued within 72 hours and must be printed out for presentation on arrival in Cambodia.

This reduction in visa fees is part of a wider strategy to boost Cambodia's tourist appeal and facilitate travel to the country.
