From October 31, 2023, international travelers will be able to apply for an e-visa to visit the Kingdom of Eswatini. The government of this small southern African nation hopes to attract more visitors and stimulate investment in the country by introducing an electronic visa system.

On Friday September 15, 2023, Princess Lindiwe, the Kingdom's Minister of Home Affairs, inaugurated the system at a ceremony held at the Royal Matsapha Science and Technology Park. The Minister announced that the e-visa would be fully operational by October 31, 2023.
She was enthusiastic about the project, saying that "the e-visa system is a key step in our digital transformation efforts". Thanks to this initiative, the visa application process will be revolutionized, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both applicants and government authorities. " By adopting this technology and dematerializing our visa and entry permit services, we are creating an environment conducive to welcoming foreign investors, tourists and qualified professionals. "said Minister Lindiwe.

For stays of more than 1 month, it is possible to request a additional 30-day extension from the Ministry of the Interior. On arrival in Eswatini, visitors must present a valid passport with at least 3 months validity from the date of entry and a minimum of 2 blank pages.
